Four Days of Family Fun!

Bring the whole family for a taste of good old-fashioned Americana. Our traditional salute to Independence Day includes a parade, carnival rides, fireworks and more!

Historic Downtown Parkville kicks off the annual July Fourth Celebration on Wednesday, July 2 when the carnival open in the parking lot at the south end of Main Street. In addition to the carnival, this fun, family-style celebration includes a community parade, a pancake breakfast, a variety of food vendors, and, of course, our big firework finale on July 4th. Come early and bring the family for a weekend of good, old-fashioned Americana in Historic Downtown Parkville.

Schedule of Activities

Wednesday, July 2 – Thursday, July 3

  • Carnival: 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.
  • Wristband Special: $20 unlimited rides

Friday, July 4

  • Pancake Breakfast at American Legion: 7:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Parade: 10:00 a.m.
  • Carnival: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. ($1 per ticket or $20 for 22 tickets 2-3 tickets per ride)
  • Vendors: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Shuttle Service: 6:00 pm till mid-night
  • Parkville Symphonic Band, Park University, Graham Tyler
  • Memorial Chapel: 7:30 p.m.
  • Fireworks: 9:45 p.m.

Saturday, July 5

  • Carnival: 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.
  • Wristband Special: $20 unlimited rides

South Platte Community Center, Park University and Park Hill South High School.

Parade

The annual Parkville July Fourth Celebration parade on Friday, July 4 at 10:00 a.m. which begins at 63rd Street and Hwy 9 and ends in Historic Downtown Parkville. Parade line up will begin at 9:00 a.m. at 63rd Street and Bell Road.

Vendors

The Parkville July Fourth Celebration only allows a limited number of not-for-profit (501©3), food, game booths, and commercial vendors. No art or craft vendors will be accepted.

Harvesters Collection Site

HarvestersMain Street Parkville Association is partnering with Harvesters – The Community Food Network to collect non-perishable food items to support the Food Bank’s program to feed the hungry in our community. Bring your canned good donations to this event. Collection barrels will be available. Help Main Street Parkville and Harvesters’ help our friends and neighbors who are so dependent upon these donations to feed their children.
