Parkville 4th of July Celebration
Join us for a full day of patriotic fun at the annual 4th of July Celebration in downtown Parkville!
Pancake Breakfast
Start your morning with the traditional pancake breakfast hosted by the American Legion Parkville #318. 7:00–10:30 AM.
Community Parade
Line the streets for our beloved Independence Day parade at 10:00 AM, featuring local groups, small businesses, floats, and plenty of red, white, and blue! The parade grandstand is at 1st & Main Street with Independence Day trivia & giveaways starting at 10:00 AM.
Shopping, Dining, & Family Fun
Stick around after the parade for shopping and dining and to support our local small businesses. Lots of our restaurants will be open for dine-in or carry-out.
Our Downtown Farmer’s Market will be open until 2pm. They will also host face painting and a balloon artist for the kids, as well as a pie eating contest for adults.
Voices of Kansas City will perform a patriotic a cappella show in Pocket Park from 1-2pm.
Starting at 6:00 PM, food trucks and family-friendly activities including a caricature artist, balloon artist, and cornhole will open near the Farmers Market Pavilion.
Falcon Skydiving Exhibition
Don’t miss the patriotic Skydiving Show at approx. 8:45 PM, performed by Falcon Skydiving, soaring above English Landing Park & Main Street.
Fireworks Spectacular
Cap off the day with Parkville’s spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 PM over the Missouri River at the end of Main Street!
Shuttle Service – Free shuttle service to Downtown Parkville runs from 6:00–11:00 PM with pick-up and drop-off at South Platte YMCA.
Bring your lawn chairs, family, and festive spirit! The best views for the show are at the baseball field (south of the City Parking Lot), Main Street, or English Landing Park.
